A landmark 20 story Coop built in 1927, located just one block away from Prospect Park had to comply with Local Law 11 and hired FirstService Project Management. Given the landmark status of the building and our experience with terracotta replacement, our team was brought on board to ensure that all steps taken during the preliminary and constructions phases met requirements set by the Landmark Preservation Commission (LPC).
Our scope of work included, terracotta replacement, the installation of a new railing system on the roof, repair of steel columns and spandrels, and lintel replacements. All materials used for the project needed to be approved by LPC which required a high-level of communication and coordination to take place. Our team was able to successfully serve as the liaison between all stakeholders in the process and keep to the timeline we created for the project.
