The Greenwich Club boasts luxury living at its finest within the heart of Manhattan’s Financial District. However, this luxury residential condominium was hit hard by Hurricane Sandy – common areas and recreations rooms were heavily flooded. All the electrical was heavily damaged and the city placed a Vacate Order to ensure the safety of residents.
Luckily, the property manager brought FirstService Project Management on board quickly and we were able to lift the Vacate Order for residents. Instead of waiting on insurance claims to be filed, our team urgently called on contractors within our network to begin the restoration process and improve the comfort level of tenants.
During the duration of this project, we restored several recreational facilities including the gym, yoga studio, billiard, laundry room, and rec room. The management office was rebuilt and we replaced all the electrical. The scope of work also included mechanical as we had to install a new fire pump and boiler for the building.
